Our goal at Kid City is to provide your child with the best foundation in early childhood education that they can have.  That is why we have chosen the Adaycare.com Curriculum for our Infants and Toddlers and the ABEKA Curriculum to use in our Two Year Old Class through our Private Kindergarten Class.  We feel this will give your child everything they need for these very important early years.

The following is a description of how ABEKA Curriculum is taught and what it will teach your child.

ABEKA is a complete academic program for Nursery through grade 12.  Their materials work together to give a thorough, enjoyable and highly teachable phonics approach to reading.  ABEKA is presented in 6 easy steps: short vowels, consonants, blends, one vowel words, long vowels, the two vowel rule and special phonics sounds.

We will be introducing a new curriculum called High Reach for our Infants and Toddlers. We are very excited about this curriculum because it allows the children opportunities to explore and discover while also allowing them to engage with other children throughout their day. Below you will find how each stage of the curriculum works.

High Reach for Infants:

Baby's first year is an exciting time with lots of exploration and discovery. Research shows experiences that engaging infants in interactive experiences that involve sensory, motor, and social explorations build brain connections.

With easy-to-use, pick-and-choose activities, Bright Baby Kit actively engages and stimulates infants through social interactions: talking, playing, moving, singing, reading, and signing.

Activities are integrated across all domains of infant development - physical, emotional, social, and cognitive - and develop a wide variety of skills, including:

  • Language acquisition
  • Sense of self
  • Sensory awareness
  • Motor skills
  • Visual tracking
  • Self-help skills and much more!

High Reach for Toddlers:

Guides our little navigators and encourages their sense of discovery. It also support active learning through hands-on play, creates secure connections, and motivates exploration.

Curriculum for Toddlers

  • Supports learning to read the world through 75 play-based learning experiences and integrated classroom materials.
  • Fosters self-regulation of emotions, behaviors, attention, and body control.
  • Transforms everyday family routines into playful learning moments.

The stages of development are unique to each child.
